LokSabha 2019: Parties strengthen election campaigns in Maval, Shirur

Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray will address a rally for his party’s candidate Shrirang Barne at Kalewadi Phata here at 6 pm on Thursday.

PIMPRI: The BJP-Shiv Sena alliance and the NCP-Congress front have intensified their poll campaigns in Maval and Shirur Lok Sabha constituencies during the last phase of the electioneering.

The voting in the two constituencies will take place on Monday, April 29. The actual poll campaign will, however, end on Saturday, April 27 evening. The candidates and workers of the political parties are therefore busy reaching out to the maximum number of voters.

NCP President Sharad Pawar will address a poll rally of his party’s candidate Parth Pawar in Talegaon Dabhade on Thursday morning.

Pawar will address another poll rally of his party’s Shirur constituency candidate Dr Amol Kolhe in Manchar on Thursday at 4 pm. Pawar had earlier campaigned for the Shirur constituency candidate Dr Kolhe at Hadapsar in Pune. 

Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray will address a rally for his party’s candidate Shrirang Barne at Kalewadi Phata here at 6 pm on Thursday.

Union Minister of State for Social Justice Ramdas Athavale and Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Raut will also address the rally.

The NCP-Congress front organised a two-wheeler rally in Sangvi on Wednesday. NCP candidate Parth Pawar participated in the roadshow which covered Shitolenagar, Navi Sangvi, Sai Chowk,  Kranti Chowk, Pimple Gurav and Shivaji Chowk.

Meanwhile, Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Commissioner Shravan Hardikar has left for election duties in Uttar Pradesh. Additional Municipal Commissioner Santosh Patil has taken over the charge on an interim basis.
