Pune: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate for Pune Lok Sabha constituency, Girish Bapat’s assets have tripled from 2014 to 2019. In 2014, he contested the Assembly election from Kasba constituency and then he stated his wealth as Rs1.38 crore in his affidavit and now it has increased to Rs5.26 crore. Bapat filed his nomination form on Tuesday for Pune Lok Sabha and also submitted an affidavit of his property details.
 
As mentioned in the affidavit, Bapat has immovable and movable assets of Rs5.26 crore. He has Rs75,000 cash and his wife has cash of Rs28,000. Bapat has 15 bank accounts. There is Rs32.21 lakh in saving accounts and Rs52.27 lakh in fixed deposits. 

Bapat has share certificates of companies worth Rs18,320. In the post office, he has deposited Rs13.68 lakh. Bapat has four vehicles including a Mercedes-Benz, Pajero, Mahindra Tractor and a Bajaj scooter. He owns 40 gm gold which is worth Rs 1.33 lakh.

Immovable assets of Rs4 crore 
Bapat has one hectare 19 guntha land in Amravati which is ancestral. He purchased land in Talegaon-Dabhade of 15,000 square feet in 2003. It is worth Rs35.40 lakh as per government rate. Bapat owns five flats, three in Shaniwar Peth, Pune and one in Andheri, Mumbai. The total worth of Bapat’s immovable assets is Rs3.96 crore.
