Lit Bug Fest 2018 to be held in city on Saturday

Pune: Children’s favourite literature festival, the Lit Bug Fest 2018 is back to celebrate liberal arts in several ways and showcase the combination of performers, authors, artists and storytellers from the city and all around. The event is hosted by The Story Station, Aundh, collaborated with NGO Jeevitnadi - living river foundation.

This year the fest will focus on the theme ‘Rivers and Environment’, which aims to drive home the point of nurturing and protecting our rivers for the children. A special musical based performance on an original story from The Story Station will be the grand finale feature of this programme in which artists from the literary scene of the city will come together to present the ‘Pune’s river musical’. The programme also features child authors, performers, storytellers, theatre and games designed and organised from Story Station young adults aged 
16-17 years old. 

The authors who will be present there are Bhavna Menon, Peeyush Seksaria, Anil Awchat and Arun Iyer. Stories would be narrated by Vaishali Kulkarni, Radhika Bagdai, Dharitri Krishnamurthy, Yamini Vijendran, Ajay Dasgupta, Dola Dasgupta, Renuka Kari, Suvarna Sridhar and many more. There are also special performances by Nikhil Ravi Parmar, Vartika Gupta, Pushkar Rangmanch who will conduct  workshops for adults and children on travel writing, storytelling, illustrations, disaster management and a special feature with river focus, making toxin-free products, litter to better use.
