Kin allege patient’s death due to negligence by docs

PUNE: A 25-year-old admitted at DY Patil Hospital in Pimpri died on Wednesday night due to negligence of doctors, alleged his family members. 

Meanwhile, the police said that a case will be registered after getting medical experts report after post-mortem. 

The deceased was identified as Sandip Navnath Bansode of Adarshnagar, Pimpri. He was admitted to the hospital 12 days back for pancreas-related complications. His relatives alleged that on Wednesday night while taking him for MRI there was a shortage of oxygen cylinder resulting in his death.

The deceased was identified as Sandip Navnath Bansode of Adarshnagar, Pimpri. He was admitted to the hospital 12 days back for pancreas-related complications. His relatives alleged that on Wednesday night while taking him for MRI there was a shortage of oxygen cylinder resulting in his death. 

They created a ruckus and refused to take back his body and the police were called in to control the situation. Later the body was sent for post-mortem. 

There was no response from DY Patil Hospital over the allegations.
