KCB suspends 4 security staffers for playing Holi on premises

Pune: Four security staff members of the Khadki Cantonment Board (KCB) were suspended and will be fined for playing with colours in the premises of the Board’s office on the occasion of Holi on March 2. 

The KCB has outsourced the Board office’s security to an agency from Navi Mumbai. Four security staffers, including two women, played with colours in the first shift, which starts from 7 am and ends at 3 pm.

The KCB has outsourced the Board office’s security to an agency from Navi Mumbai. Four security staffers, including two women, played with colours in the first shift, which starts from 7 am and ends at 3 pm. 

Sidhaji Mane, Security Area Officer, said, “According to our rules and regulations, no security staff member is allowed to play with colours on Holi inside the premises of Board office. We verified it through the CCTV cameras located at various places in the premises of the office.” 

Vijay Wankhede, branch head of the security agency, said, “These four have joined the agency recently. They were made aware of the rules. However, they violated the rules and are suspended for two days. A fine of Rs 500 will be collected from them. They will be dismissed if they continue to violate any rules in future.”
