Kawade alleges BJP after Dalits, is framing charges

To protest against the government, different Dalit organisations held a rally near Divisional Commissioner’s office on Monday. After the rally, Kawade addressed a press conference, making strong allegations against the government. Kawade said, “Because Dalits took part in the ‘bandh’, the government is framing charges against them. The government is biased. They are not arresting Sambhaji Bhide and Milind Ekbote, who are the culprits of the violence”

Pune: People’s Republican Party President Jogendra Kawade, on Monday, alleged that after the violence at Bhima-Koregaon, Dalits had called for a spontaneous ‘bandh’ and, now, BJP government has started a combing operation, arresting Dalits and framing charges against them. He said this is government-sponsored terrorism. He also appealed to the government to take back criminal charges.

After the rally, Kawade addressed a press conference, making strong allegations against the government. Kawade said, “Because Dalits took part in the ‘bandh’, the government is framing charges against them. The government is biased. They are not arresting Sambhaji Bhide and Milind Ekbote, who are the culprits of the violence”.

He said, “RSS and BJP’s government is saving Bhide and Ekbote. The government has started a ‘combing operation’ in Dalit pockets in different parts of the State. They should stop this and give compensation to the people affected by the violence”.

He further said, “All Ambedkarites have called for a ‘Mahamorcha’ from Rani Baug to Azad Maidan in Mumbai, demanding Bhide and Ekbote’s arrest. It will be held on February 28. I appeal to all Dalit organisations to protest against the government. We are welcoming Prakash Ambedkar and Ramdas Athavale to join the Mahamorcha.”

Dalit Panthar’s Mallika Namdev Dhasal, Republican Bhimsakati’s Arjun Dangale, Ektavado Republican Party’s Nana Indise, Republican Youth’s Manoj Sansare, Swabhiman Republican’s Ramesh Salve and Republican Yuva Morcha’s Rahul Dambale were presented in the rally.
