Kalaskar’s CBI custody extended till September 15

Two other accused, Rajesh Degwekar (38) and Amit Bangera (50), have been remanded to magisterial custody.  

Pune: The district court on Monday extended CBI police custody of Sharad Kalaskar, who is accused of shooting rationalist Dr Narendra Dabholkar, till September 15. Two other accused, Rajesh Degwekar (38) and Amit Bangera (50), have been remanded to magisterial custody.  

The CBI has claimed that Kalaskar, along with his accomplice Sachin Andure, both residents of Aurangabad, had shot dead Dabholkar around 7.20 am on August 20, 2013. The agency had arrested Andure on August 18. Amol Kale, who had reportedly given the country-made pistol, has also been arrested.
