Junior College of Education Azam Campus wins laurels
MCES Junior College students brought laurels by winning the first positions in kabaddi, 100 metre relay, shot put, discus throw, second position in Volley Ball and 100 metre running.
PUNE: Maharashtra Cosmopolitan Education Society’s (MCES) Junior College of Education Azam Campus (D.El.Ed College) has received the ‘Sneha Vardhan Kala Wa Krida Spardha Trophy’, for 2018-19 at an intercollegiate cultural and sports competition organised by District Institute of Education and Continuous Professional Development (DIECPD).
Almost 19 D.El.Ed colleges from Pune district had participated in the week-long events held in the first week of February.
Kamaladevi Auty, Principal of DIECPD said that these competitions are important to strengthen the ties between various colleges and also important for the wholesome development of the aspiring teachers.
The sports competitions were inaugurated at Bafna College of Education, Vadgaon Maval by former state minister, Madan Bafna. The event was organised by Hiraman Langhe, Principal of the college and secretary of these events.
The prize distribution was held at Jai Ganesh Adhyapak Vidyalaya, Narhe. Sudhakarrao Jadhwar, President of Jadhwar Group of Institutes, Kamaladevi Auty and Gyanenshwar Patil gave away the prizes.
MCES Junior College students under the captainship of Mehreen Khan brought laurels to Azam Campus by winning the first positions in kabaddi, 100 metre relay, shot put, discus throw, second position in Volley Ball and 100 metre running. Among the cultural competitions, students won prizes in poster presentation, essay writing and power point presentation.
The event was also supported by Principal, Rizwana Daulatabad, teaching staff and students, President PA Inamdar and Vice-President Abeda Inamdar of MCES Trust which manages the Azam Campus.
