Jagriti Yatra to hold competition on Sustainable Enterprise in city

PUNE: Jagriti Yatra, a non-government organisation, in a joint initiative with CocaCola India, is organising its second-year award competition on Sustainable Enterprise. 

These awards are for those individuals who come up with new ideas on sustainability factors including agriculture, water and recycling. 

The competition details and registrations will be announced on July 12 at Dr Shirname Auditorium, College of Agriculture, Shivajinagar from 4 pm onwards.

While addressing a press conference, Subham Rathod, organiser of the event, said, “There are many youngsters who have innovative ideas on sustainable living, but they never get a platform to showcase their ideas. The Sustainable Enterprise is a nationwide awareness competition in which we invite participants to register for free and the winners would receive cash prizes along with mentorship by the world’s largest beverage making company CocaCola India.”

The cash prize for the winner will be Rs 2 lakh, for the second winner it will be Rs 1 lakh and for the third winner, the cash prize will be Rs 50,000. 

He further said, “This competition will be held in 25 districts of Maharashtra including Pune. And the speakers for the function will be- Founder and Chairman of Agro Tourism Pandurang Taware, Alka Shukla of CocaCola India, Founder of Green Thumb Col Suresh Patil, Suyog Bhavare of Jagriti Yatra and Chief Executive Officer of Ramlex India Avinash Jogdand.”
