Inquiry against five PCMC officials ordered

Pimpri: Commissioner of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) Shravan Hardikar ordered a departmental inquiry against five PCMC officers for their alleged involvement in the CNG-run incinerator procurement scam.

The officers, who are going to face inquiry, include Executive Engineer of Environment Engineering Cell Sanjay Kulkarni, Deputy Engineer Manohar Jawrani, Deputy Engineer Vikas Ghare, Accounts Officer Kishor Shinge and accounts assistant Usha Thorat.     

The report of inquiry committee appointed by then commissioner Dinesh Waghmare had been submitted to Hardikar last month.

Shravan Hardikar had said that appropriate action will be taken against those responsible for the irregularities.

The inquiry committee appointed by Commissioner Dinesh Waghmare has come to a conclusion that irregularities have taken place in the deal for procurement of CNG-run incinerators.
