IMD forecasts rainfall in Konkan, Central Maha

On Sunday, the highest maximum temperature reported in the State was 35.9 degrees Celsius in Solapur and the lowest minimum temperature reported in the state at 13.6 degrees Celsius in Nashik. Pune reported 34.3 degrees Celsius on Sunday and 15.9 degrees Celsius during the night. 

PUNE: Although cities in the State are experiencing a dip in night temperature, the day temperature remained as high as 36 degrees Celsius in some places in the State. 

However, India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted that Konkan and Goa and Central Maharashtra may receive rainfall till November 20. But Marathwada and Vidarbha may have dry weather.

The IMD predicted that Pune city may have day temperature till 32 degrees Celsius till November 24. And night temperature will be around 14 degrees Celsius during the same time with clear skies.  

INDIA SCENARIO
On Sunday, the lowest minimum temperature recorded on Sunday was 8.6 degrees Celsius at Malda in west Madhya Pradesh.

Under the influence of cyclonic circulation over the southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining the equatorial Indian Ocean, a low-pressure area developed over the southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining equatorial India Ocean on Sunday. The deep depression is likely to become more marked over central parts of south Bay of Bengal and adjoining the equatorial Indian Ocean till November 19. 

IMD has forecasted that this depression shall increase rainfall activity with isolated heavy to very heavy rainfalls very likely over coastal Tamil Nadu and south coastal Andhra Pradesh till November 21.

Hence, IMD forecasted that heavy to very heavy rain at isolated places likely over Tamil Nadu, south Rayalaseema, south interior Karnataka till November 21.
