Headless body found on Mumbai Pune expressway

The body was decomposed and police suspect that the man died about seven to eight days ago. Deputy Superintendent of Police G Madgulkar said, “Prima facie it appears to be an accident. Someone has dumped the body at the spot.” Dehu Road police are further investigating the case

Pune: The headless body of a 40-year-old man was found by officials of the Dehu Road police on Thursday morning on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway near Kiwale in front of Kunal Iconia building. Based on the documents found by the police, they have identified the man as Nijam Rai. The body was decomposed and police suspect that the man died about seven to eight days ago. Deputy Superintendent of Police G Madgulkar said, “Prima facie it appears to be an accident. Someone has dumped the body at the spot.” Dehu Road police are further investigating the case.
