Pune: To help students, parents and teachers understand the changes in the syllabus and examination pattern of Std X, Marathi Vidnyan Parishad, Pune region has organised a free guidance session on Sunday.
The session will be held at Yashwantrao Chavan Natyagruha in Kothrud from 8:30 am to 11 am.
The syllabus for Std X has been changed by Balbharati from this year onwards.
“It’s not just the syllabus or the textbooks that have changed. The viewpoint of looking at the curriculum too has changed.
Further, the question papers have also become more application or practical-based. Our earlier syllabus and question paper pattern had unnecessary emphasis on memorising facts. Unlike every year, memorising the answers and writing them is not going to be enough this year. Students will have to work out the answers, and this has made the new pattern challenging,” Vinay RR of the Parishad said.
He said that the session will guide the students on how to study and answer the examination.
The session will be inaugurated by veteran educationist Dr AL Deshmukh and Shakuntala Kale, Chairperson of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE).
After the session, the participants will also get an opportunity to ask queries and get their doubts cleared from experts.
