Govt revived Pune city’s growth: CM

PUNE: “Pune city’s development was stuck from the last 15 years. However, our government has provided funds for development of the city in the last four years and it has revived rapidly. We will make Pune city superior in every aspect in the coming days,” said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis while speaking in Pune on Tuesday.

The chief minister was in Kothrud to inaugurate a two-day camp on Central and State government development schemes (Maha-Yojana Camp). Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Medha Kulkarni had organised this on behalf of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The information regarding the Union and State governments various schemes will be shared with people visiting this exhibition. Before attending the inaugural function, Fadnavis also inaugurated the Atal Bandhkam Mission programme (housing scheme for labourers) in Kothrud area.

While speaking at the programme, he said, “There are many development projects going on in the city. So, we can see a change in the city in the coming days. Four and a half years ago, with the blessings of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, we formed the government. We have done welfare work. The Central and State governments have launched various schemes to transform the lives of the common people. People need such schemes. Hence, these schemes are getting a good response in cities as well as in rural areas.”

Guardian Minister Girish Bapat, Minister of State Dilip Kamble, MP Anil Shirole, BJP City President Yogesh Gogawale and others were also present.
