Pune: Thieves made away with the gold and silver ornaments from Vitthal-Rukmini temple at Kudle village. The incident came to light on Thursday morning.
As per the information provided by Pune rural police, the theft was discovered by villagers who visited the temple in morning. Villagers found that the ornaments from the idol were missing. The thieves also made away with the silver carving from a pillar of the temple.
Police were informed immediately after the theft was discovered by the villagers.
