Girl cheated on pretext of  bank job

A 24-year-old girl was cheated to the tune of Rs 54,000 by four persons on the pretext of placing her in a reputed bank. A case was lodged by the victim at Bundgarden police station. 

Pune: A 24-year-old girl was cheated to the tune of Rs 54,000 by four persons on the pretext of placing her in a reputed bank. A case was lodged by the victim at Bundgarden police station. 

Bundgarden police said the victim stays near Sadhu Vaswani Chowk and was contacted by the accused on phone. The victim was lured by the job offer in a reputed bank and was asked to transfer money to the accused. The victim did as instructed but did not get the job. The incident occurred between August and October 2018. 

A case of cheating was then lodged by the police. Police Sub-Inspector P Swami is investigating the case.
