Girish Bapat reviews development works by PMC

In view of the forthcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha polls, District Guardian Minister Girish Bapat conducted a meeting on Monday to review various development works in the city. Bapat also instructed officials to complete development works within the given time frame.

Pune: In view of the forthcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha polls, District Guardian Minister Girish Bapat conducted a meeting on Monday to review various development works in the city. Bapat also instructed officials to complete development works within the given time frame.

All Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) department heads and Municipal Commissioner Saurabh Rao were present. Mayor Mukta Tilak, Leader of House of BJP Shrinath Bhimale, Standing Committee Chairman Yogesh Mulik and former standing committee chairman Murli Mohol were also present.

The Hadapsar garbage project, flyover beautification, Bhama-Askhed project, Lohegaon airport expansion, Pradhanmantri Awas Yojana, 24x7 water project, dead animals’ disposable issue, Riverfront development project, metro project, development of merged villages, wada sanitation issue, etc. were discussed in the meeting. 

Tilak gave a briefing to the media after the meeting and said, “Bapat has assured funds from the District Planning and Development Council (DPDC) to beautify 57 flyovers in the city. The guardian minister said that he will pursue the riverfront development project with the State government. Bapat took a review of all development works and instructed the PMC to complete it within the time frame.”
