Gangster hacked to death near Paud

The police have lodged a case of murder against six persons. According to Senior Police Inspector S Nimbalkar of Paud police station, Pappu was called by the accused in Kolvan on Thursday evening. The police said that around 8 pm, the six accused, who were armed with weapons, hacked Pappu to death. Pappu had two crimes of attempt to murder against him

Pune: Gangster Pappu Satpute (25) of Mulshi was allegedly hacked to death on Thursday evening in Kolvan village near Paud. His accomplice Ravindra Satpute was injured in the incident.

The police have lodged a case of murder against six persons. According to Senior Police Inspector S Nimbalkar of Paud police station, Pappu was called by the accused in Kolvan on Thursday evening. The police said that around 8 pm, the six accused, who were armed with weapons, hacked Pappu to death. Pappu had two crimes of attempt to murder against him.

Three of the six accused in the case are history sheeters and police teams have been formed to nab the accused. Police officials were deployed in Kolvan area to maintain law and order.

According to the police, there was a past enmity between the accused and the deceased which led to the murder. As the accused had come in a four-wheeler, they were successful in escaping from the spot after the murder.

Multiple injuries were found on face, neck and shoulder of the deceased. The police have also seized sickle and swords from the crime spot.
