FTII announces a 12-week course in VFX and Finishing

PUNE: The Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) Pune has announced a 12-week Foundation Course in VFX and Finishing. The students here will be trained in fundamentals in visual effects for TV and films.

Candidates selected will be trained in the fundamentals of VFX for Television and Films, opening opportunities for them to work with professionals in the animation and VFX industry. They will be exposed to various tools and processes, which will help them understand the work process behind creating VFX. The participants will get an opportunity to develop an idea for VFX and participate in green screen (chroma) shoot and do the post-production towards the end of the course. Besides the strong content packed into this course, its unique feature is the practical experience of pre-production, production and post-production that participants will be exposed to. Regular and frequent mentoring by leading industry experts will further attune the participants to current industry trends,” Bhupendra Kainthola, Director, FTII Pune, said.
