Pune: Four arrested for murderous assault on a youth over a minor tiff. The incident occurred on Tuesday night at Kothrud.
Those arrested were identified as Sameer Pasalkar, 20, Nilesh Bodke, 19, Karan Mohol, 19, and Ajay Mapare, all residents of Kothrud.
The accused persons led out a murderous assault on Rupesh Sathe, 20, with a beer bottle and also threatened to kill him using a pistol.
The four accused had grudges against Sathe as he mocked Mapare in the past. The mocking didn’t go down well with Mapare after which the four decided to attack Sathe.
The four brutally assaulted Sathe on Tuesday night at a spot opposite Shivrai Mitra Mandal, in Sutardara area of Kothrud. They hit an empty beer bottle on his head and inflicted severe injuries. One of the accused Pasalkar took out a pistol and threatened to kill Sathe.
Pasalkar also threatened to kill Sathe’s family who tried to rescue him from the assault.
