Four hurt in mishap in Maharshi Nagar

Pune:  Four persons including two minor girls were injured after a 20-year-old man rammed his car into four persons in Maharshi Nagar on Wednesday evening. The accused Mohit Dhoot, who stays in Baner and is learning photography in a city-based college, had gone to Maharshi Nagar to meet his friend when the incident took place.

The accused Mohit Dhoot, who stays in Baner and is learning photography in a city-based college, had gone to Maharshi Nagar to meet his friend when the incident took place. 

Mohit had rented a car to pick up his friend from Maharshi Nagar. According to Swargate police, the accused rammed his car into a two-wheeler. This led to a verbal brawl between the accused and the two-wheeler rider. The accused panicked and tried to escape when he rammed his car into Riti Palrecha (8) and Reena Palrecha (35). He also rammed his car into Sakshi Tiwari (15) and a tempo driver Rajendra Renuse (35). The victims were rushed to different hospitals. 

The police said Sakshi and Reena have suffered serious injuries and are under treatment while Rajendra and Riti have been discharged from hospital after primary treatment. The police have detained Mohit and are investigating the case.
