Four booked for assaulting, robbing youth in Mundhwa

A case has been registered at Mundhwa police station

Pune: A 22-year-old youth has been robbed by four unknown men in Mundhwa on Wednesday night. A case has been registered at Mundhwa police station.

The complaint was filed by Shubham Choudhary, a resident of Mundhwa Gaon who was assaulted and then robbed by the four accused of Rs 1,500.

According to the Mundhwa police, on Tuesday, some ruckus was created by the four accused in Gawli Aali area of Mundhwa at around 8.30 pm. The locals were hurriedly closing their shops and were running to their homes. 

Meanwhile, Choudhary who was passing through the area was confronted by four men who initially assaulted and then snatched his money. They put chopper on his neck and asked him to hand over his money to them.

The police are searching for the accused persons and have booked them under section 392 (Punishment for robbery) and other relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
