Former DGP Borwankar to speak at Sakal event

Pune: Former Director General of Police (DGP) Meeran Chadha Borwankar will be the guest of honour for the special event being organised at Sakal Office in Shivajinagar on International Women’s Day. 

Borwankar, who joined Maharashtra cadre of the prestigious IPS in 1981, will share her experience with women employees of Sakal group. Mrunal Pawar, Director of Sakal Media Group, will grace this occasion and address the employees. 

Borwankar who served as the first woman District Police Chief in Maharashtra (of Aurangabad and Satara districts) as well as the first woman police commissioner (Pune city) and headed Mumbai Police Crime Branch will share her experience of working in a leadership role of Maharashtra police. 

Women employees from more than 10 locations will interact with Borwankar through a video conference. This programme is open only for Sakal employees.
