Flat burgled of cash, ornaments worth Rs 10 lakh

Pune: A burglary of more than Rs 10 lakh took place in a flat at Prabhat Road on Friday. The unknown burglars broke and entered the flat and made away with the booty.

Police are suspecting the involvement of three burglars in the crime whose identity is unknown. 

According to complainant Gaurav More, the thieves burgled his flat located in Shiv Residency on Prabhat Road in the wee hours of Friday and made away with the cash and ornaments worth Rs 10,42,500.

Officials of Deccan police station have registered a case under sections 457 (Lurking house trespass or house-breaking by night in order to commit offence punishable with imprisonment) and 380 (Theft in dwelling house, etc.) of Indian Penal Code against unknown thieves.
