Five injured in accident near Moshi

The police said the Pune-Bhimashankar ST bus jumped over the median and collided head-on with a pick-up van near Bankarvasti in Moshi.

Pune: Five persons were injured in a collision involving a State Transport (ST) bus, a pick-up van and a two-wheeler near Moshi on Pune-Nashik Highway on Wednesday morning.

As per MIDC Bhosari police, the driver of the State Transport bus lost control and rammed the bus into a pick-up van and a two-wheeler. 
The police said the Pune-Bhimashankar ST bus jumped over the median and collided head-on with a pick-up van near Bankarvasti in Moshi. All three vehicles were damaged in the incident. 

A large number of people gathered at the spot. The locals rushed the injured persons to YCM Hospital for treatment. 

The five injured included ST bus driver Shankar Karande and pick-up van driver Santosh Londe. Rajkumar Bhandari and Nagamma Bhandari were on a two-wheeler and a ST passenger Rajani Gajarmalsah were also injured.
