Pune: The historical judgement which was passed by the Supreme Court that termed the practice of triple talaq as unconstitutional, arbitrary and not a part of Islam has brought a boon to women fighting for their rights over the years.

A short film - ‘Zarina Ka Kya Hoga?’ has been made which depicts the voice of girls like ‘Zarina’ who is the protagonist of the film.

This short film will be screened on September 9 at Prabhu Dnyanmandir, above Lokmanya Multipurpose Co-operative Society, besides SM Joshi Hall, opposite Nivara Vrudhashram, Navi Peth at 5.45 pm.

The film will depict ‘Zarina’ as a mouthpiece for all girls who are acquiring modern education, who believe in freedom of expression, women’s rights and have faith that religion is supportive of humanity.

The restrictions which are made in the society practically prove to be baseless in the 21st century for a girl like Zarina who interprets religion as a lifestyle causing difficulty for a few people who hold a different view.
