Farmer found hanging from tree in village near Baramati

In last three months, this is fifth such suicide case being reported in Baramati taluka. The deceased Jadhav is survived by wife, a son and a daughter

Pune: Narayan Jadhav (59), a farmer, allegedly committed suicide by hanging from a tree. He was a resident of Kololi village near Supe in Baramati taluka.

The incident came to light on Sunday afternoon after Jadhav was found hanging from a tree in an open forest land in adjacent Naraoli village.  

The Vadgaon Nimbalkar police have registered a complaint of accidental death case regarding this incident.

In last three months, this is fifth such suicide case being reported in Baramati taluka. The deceased Jadhav is survived by wife, a son and a daughter.

Assistant Sub-Inspector KB More said that relatives of Jadhav are shocked and he would record statements on Tuesday.  

Vasant Kate, Sarpanch of Kololi village told Sakal Times that according to relatives of Jadhav, he was involved in sale and purchase of cattle and had left for work on Saturday.

Kate added as Jadhav did not return home by Sunday afternoon, his relatives launched search for him.
