Pune: Wrong and inappropriate message has been circulated on WhatsApp groups under the name of Dr Narendra Vaidya who is the Managing Director of Lokmanya Hospital. Dr Jaywant Srikhande, General Manager of the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) of Lokmanya Hospital, clarified that the message is wrongly circulated and they are going to launch a complaint against it once Vaidya is back, as he is out of the station.
When contacted the number given in the message, it rang up to the Expressway emergency lines and the person who attended the call, said, “I am not aware of any kind of such service.” The issue was cleared out after contacting the hospital, as Srikhande said that the hospital already has EMS running on the expressway for over 15 years. “We already have an EMS service to aid the people on expressway.” he said.
