Elderly man duped by two men disguised as Sadhus

Pune: A 64-year-old man was duped of his ring worth Rs 30,000 by two unknown persons dressed as sadhus. The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon outside the gate of SSPMS College near RTO Chowk.

The complainant, Arun Datir, is a resident of Vadgaon Sheri. According to information provided by the Bund Garden Police, the victim was approached by two men dressed as sadhus while he was standing on the road outside the gate of SSPMS College.

They initiated a conversation with the complainant and told him that Sai Baba will shower his blessing on him.

After gaining the confidence of the complainant, one of the accused, using the sleight of hand, made away with the complainant's ring worth Rs 30,000. Police have registered a case under section 420 (cheating) against the unknown accused.
