Efforts to garner backing from the society which will act like divine support

Questioning the system and educating readers are some of the fundamental duties of journalism. However, it has always been the Sakal Media Group’s motto to support the individuals, who have been working in the interest of society at large, and to search for solutions to various issues while performing its duties.

Sakal Media Group has never considered the caste or the economic status of the individual/s while connecting with them.

The Group has always connected with all sections of society.

Its various initiatives such as Tanishka, Women’s Dignity Forum, which not only gives confidence but builds leaders from among women; Young Inspirators Network (YIN) develops youth leaders while inculcating a feeling of social responsibility in them and makes them ready for the future by imparting skills to them; Mahan Rashtra Network connects with the common people; while the SYMPLE network is meant to address issues of the elderly. Thus, Sakal Media Group has connected with every section of society.

Trust of its readers from all walks of life is its strength. Sakal Media Group is of the view that this strength can be harnessed to support good individuals, institutions when needed so that they get a new lease of life in their hour of crisis. It has been Sakal Media Group’s consistent endeavour to help society through its initiatives such as Sakal Social Foundation, Sakal Relief Fund, Delivering Change Foundation and Sakal India Foundation. It is exactly this view, which prompts us to extend a helping hand to city-based realtor DS Kulkarni. This is just an effort, which Sakal Media Group will make within the framework of law, judicial procedures, investors’ interest and morality. It is too early to say what solution will be found.

However, Sakal Media Group will take along some responsible social organisations in its effort to help out Kulkarni. For this purpose, Sakal Media Group has set up a committee of experts active in the fields of industry, finance, banking, law, administration and social work. The committee comprises senior consumer rights activist Suryakant Pathak, legal experts Advocate Nandu Phadke and Advocate Manoj Wadekar, HDFC Realty’s Amit Joshi, Amar Builders’ Amar Manjrekar, among others. This committee will suggest best measures to support DS Kulkarni by studying his present business and to protect interests of employees and investors in DSK Group. Sakal Media Group has made this decision as it thinks that DSK Group, which has been built on the foundation of hard work and honesty, should survive. We all know that one has to take risks while doing business. One may face upheavals while taking risks.

Sakal Media Group is of the opinion that society should give another chance to those who are ready to accept responsibility for their mistakes and have the will to bounce back. DS Kulkarni has also explained his point of view. In this backdrop, there shouldn’t be difference of opinion that a genuine effort should be made to rescue the business group, which has done well till date. It needs to be clearly reiterated here that the role of Sakal Media Group and the experts from various fields working with it is restricted only to find a way out to protect interests of all investors and other related sections of DSK Group. Sakal Media Group or an individual or an expert associated with it has not taken any responsibility for DSK Group’s financial or any other deals. Sakal Media Group or an individual or an expert associated with it will not be responsible for any decision taken by DSK Group in the past or the one DSK Group would take in the future.

Sakal Media Group or those associated with it will not indulge in any correspondence, a public or personal discussion or question-answer session in this regard. Sakal Media Group sincerely feels that its efforts should succeed. If you also share our views, you should express your goodwill about DSK Group by backing it. It would be a big help, if some of you start talking against misinformation being spread in this regard on the social media. The festival of the god, who removes all obstacles from our way is being celebrated. Sakal Media Group expects that society in the form of the obstacle-removing god should stand firmly behind a good business group and all those associated with it. Sakal Media Group expects that not only DSK Group but everyone, who wishes to start an enterprise in the future and wants to invest all his energies in it, should get a new lease of life.
