Educational web portal helps students find right colleges

Pune: City-based educational web portal Vidyarthi Mitra is aiding students seeking admissions to Std XI find colleges best suited for them to include in the online preference list during the Centralised Admission Process (CAP).

On the web portal, students need to enter their SSC marks, caste category and city, and, after analysing all this and the cut-offs of various colleges by a scientific method, the students are provided with a list of 10 colleges, lined according to their preference level. The students can use this while filling out Part 2 of the application forms.

The organisation has introduced this facility to ensure that students make the right decisions while choosing colleges for Std XI, as this decision dictates students’ higher education.

The choices of junior colleges for Std XI (FYJC) in Mumbai (MMRDA), Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad, Nashik, Aurangabad, Nagpur and Amravati, along with their cut-offs, are available on the website www.fyjc.vidyarthimitra.org.

Using a similar format, HSC pass-outs who are aspiring for Engineering, Pharmacy, or other DTE courses too can find up to around 300 options of colleges and courses available across the State.

Also, the information of colleges for students seeking admissions at Engineering and Pharmacy colleges across the State is available at http://vidyarthimitra.org/rank_predictor. The students can also contact 7720025900, 7720081400, or enquire through email at info@vidyarthimitra.org.
