Eagle rescued from 250 feet tall tower

According to information given by Chief Conservator of Forest (CCF) Vivek Khandekar, the Bonelli’s eagle was stuck to an electric tower.

Pune: With joint efforts of bird lovers, officials of Katraj zoo and Bhor forest division, an eagle stuck to an electric tower about 250 feet high was safely rescued in Malshiras on Thursday. According to information given by Chief Conservator of Forest (CCF) Vivek Khandekar, the Bonelli’s eagle was stuck to an electric tower.

“The wings and legs of the bird were stuck in prongs of the tower, which is about 250 feet high. A bird net was used and carefully the bird was pulled out from the prongs,” added Khandekar.

The CCF appreciated the efforts taken by the officials and bird lovers while rescuing the bird. Officials had to climb on the 250 feet tower to rescue the bird.
