DTE ponders over training programme for colleges

The theme of the training programme must be related to the improvement of technical education system and industry institute interaction. 

PUNE: The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) has proposed to arrange training programmes for teaching staff of government engineering, pharmacy and polytechnic colleges for a week.

This is in order to improve the quality of degree courses or diploma courses. 

The theme of the training programme must be related to the improvement of technical education system and industry institute interaction. 

A minimum of 50 per cent trainers should be from industry or other institutes like IIT/ NIT/ engineering colleges.

The Directorate of Technical Education has estimated the expenditure for the training at Rs 1,80,000 which covers the expenditure on trainer’s honorarium for 30 hours training, training material and photocopying.

The colleges can submit their proposals including all their requirements based on the guidelines provided by DTE =to avail the fund by July 15. 

The Directorate of Technical Education has directed only scanned copies of signed documents should be submitted by email to desk11@dtemaharashtra.gov.in from official email ID.
