Pune: Police personnel and visitors at the Police Commissioner’s office in Camp on Thursday were running helter skelter after a dog bit six persons.
The incident took place at around 5 pm. Among the injured were two staff members of the canteen, an Assistant Police Inspector of the Crime Branch and three visitors.
According to the police personnel, 3-4 dogs are always on the premises, especially near the canteen. “This dog entered the premises and went on biting six persons. They were rushed to the Sassoon Hospital for treatment and their condition was stated to be stable,” a police officer told Sakal Times.
Police naik Thakare from the anti-dacoity cell called a dog catcher, Prakash Nimbalkar, who managed to catch the dog with the help of a net, to the relief of those inside the premises.
