Delhi-bound Air Asia flight delayed for more than 5 hrs

A passenger, Abhishek Waghmare tweeted, “Very very poor state of affairs at Pune airport. Flight delayed, but no enough staff to handle situation. Pune-Delhi I5-736 delayed. Only one  Air Asia staff and 2 CISF staff. Situations happen, handling is poor

Pune: More than 110 passengers of  Delhi-bound Air Asia flight were stranded at Pune airport at 1 am on Sunday due to technical failure of the aircraft. The passengers alleged there were no staffers of the airline were present to help them.

Flight number I5-736 was supposed to depart from Pune airport at 1.06 am and arrival timing in Delhi was 3.10 am. But the flight departed at 6.06 am on Sunday and reached Delhi at 7.50 am.

A passenger, Abhishek Waghmare tweeted, “Very very poor state of affairs at Pune airport. Flight delayed, but no enough staff to handle situation. Pune-Delhi I5-736 delayed. Only one  Air Asia staff and 2 CISF staff. Situations happen, handling is poor.”

In reply, Air Asia support said, “We are terribly sorry for the inconvenience caused Abhishek.”

The Air Asia official deputed at Pune airport said, “The flight was delayed due to some technical problem.”

Many passengers travelling to Delhi after the end of Diwali weekend faced problems at Pune airport due to lack of proper help by the airline staffers. Passengers alleged that the staffers did not help them or inform them about the delay.
