Dagdusheth Ganpati Trust celebrates 125th anniversary
There will be spiritual discourses by eminent personalities, which interested Puneites can also attend
Pune: The Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Sarvajanik Ganpati Trust and Suvarnayug Tarun Mandal have planned a series of religious and cultural programmes to celebrate quasquicentennial year of their existence. The 125th anniversary celebrations will begin with Gurupournima on Sunday and conclude on August 18.
“There will be spiritual discourses by eminent personalities, which interested Puneites can also attend,” said Ashosk Godse, President of Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Sarvajanik Ganpati Trust.
Godse said that the trust has organised a ‘jugalbandi’ of Pramod Gaikwad and Bhimanna Jadhav, who will play Shehnai and Sundari respectively, on Sunday at Ganesh Kala Krida Manch.
Others who would perform in July are Ketaki and Suvarna Mategaokar, Devaki Pandit, Shaunak Abhisheki, Ravindra Sathe, Madhuri Karmarkar, Mahesh Kale, Subodh Bhave, Pandit Neeladri Kumar, Satyajit Talwalkar, Madhura Datar, Hrishikesh Ranade, Vibhavari Apte, Pt Hari Prasad Chaurasia, Abhijit Pohankar, Taufiq Qureshi, Padmaja Fenani-Joglekar, Pt Vijay Ghate, Shridhar Phadke, Pt Raghunandan Phanshikar, Anuradha Paudwal, Pt Sanjeev Abhyankar, Pt Aman Ali and Ayan Ali Bangash.
Also, Baba Maharaj Satarkar’s discourses will be held every evening from 5.30 pm to 6.30 pm at the Ganesh Kala Krida Manch.
Godse said that the trust has also invited religious leaders such as Sudhanshu Maharaj, Dada JP Vaswani, Sadhvi Preeti Sudhaji, Dr Babasaheb Taranekar, Dr Sunil Kale, Shankar Abhyankar, Acharya Govind Dev Giri, Bhaktipriya Swamiji and Swanandji Pund Shastri to speak.
