Czech PM Babiš to inaugurate SCES

SCES will be based upon a three-fold mandate of teaching, training and outreach to foster progressive insights on integration, nationally and internationally.

PUNE: To promote the interdisciplinary understanding of European languages, history, politics, economy and societies, Symbiosis Centre for European Studies (SCES) will be launched at Symbiosis International (Deemed University) (SIU), Viman Nagar campus, on Saturday.

Czech Republic PM Andrej Babiš will inaugurate the centre on Saturday, informed Vidya Yeravdekar, Pro Chancellor, (SIU), and Principal Director, Symbiosis. SCES will be based upon a three-fold mandate of teaching, training and outreach to foster progressive insights on integration, nationally and internationally.

SCES will facilitate training of new generations of scholars in European studies. Further, it will work as a host unit for researchers and multi-disciplinary research projects and serve as a forum for vibrant discussions on contemporary affairs in Europe and its impact on the global economy, which will nurture the exchange of ideas across sectors and generations.
