Crowne Plaza Pune City Centre holds traffic awareness drive

Pune: Crowne Plaza Pune City Centre organised traffic rules and road safety awareness drive recently with the help of local police officials. The initiative was lead by Divakar Shukla - General Manager, Crowne Plaza Pune City Centre along with the senior leadership team and hotel associates. Senior Police Inspector - Sucheta Khokale and Police Sub Inspector - Sangita Gaikwad were present during the drive.

Pune: Crowne Plaza Pune City Centre organised traffic rules and road safety awareness drive recently with the help of local police officials. The initiative was lead by Divakar Shukla - General Manager, Crowne Plaza Pune City Centre along with the senior leadership team and hotel associates. Senior Police Inspector - Sucheta Khokale and Police Sub Inspector - Sangita Gaikwad were present during the drive. The employees were seen reaching out to civilians and educating them about the importance of wearing helmets, wearing seatbelts, following signals and not using mobile phones while riding or driving. 

The campaign was carried out as part of Intercontinental Group of Hotels’ (IHG) Global True Hospitality for Good Programme. Shukla said, “Through the road safety campaign our aim was to create awareness for a good cause. Building on our rich heritage at IHG, we are going even further to support local communities with our new charitable giving programme - True Hospitality for Good. The initiative will commit more funds, provide more volunteering opportunities and build more powerful charity partnerships.” “We have dedicated the month of September to make a big difference with the ‘Giving for good month 2018’ and we hope to make a positive local change on a global scale,” he added.
