Pune: The first hearing on the anticipatory bail application of Prof Anand Teltumbde in the Elgar Parishad case took place on Tuesday. The court has asked Pune city police, which is probing the case, to file its say on January 29.
A few days back, the Supreme Court had rejected Teltumbde’s application seeking to quash the FIR against him and asked him to obtain from the trial court in four weeks. Accordingly, he had filed the application in the court of Additional Sessions Judge Kishor D Vadane. The FIR names a total of 22 accused including Milind Teltumbde, who is alleged to be a top underground Maoist operative and brother of Anand Teltumbde.
