Pune: A man and his wife allegedly committed suicide in Charholi Budruk on June 28, as the man was not being paid by his employer for his work.
His employer is a PCMC electric works sub-contractor.
The deceased persons have been identified as Uttam Tukaram Suryavanshi (33) and his wife Mukta (31), both residents of Bhosalevasti in Charholi.
Based on a complaint from Mukta’s cousin Madhav Sawandkar (27) of Charholi, Dighi police have registered an FIR against Bharat Hanuman Kale (29) of Dabhadevasti in Charholi for an offence under section 306 (abetment of suicide) of the Indian Penal Code.
According to the FIR, Suryavanshi used to do electricity-related work for Kale. However, he was not paid being for his work and this had led to arguments between them.
