Cops booked for changing records, sale of material

Pune: Two retired policemen have been arrested, while a woman constable has been booked for allegedly tampering with police records and then selling 23 two-wheelers, 22 mobile phones, a laptop, totally worth Rs 11.3 lakh, which had been seized in various offences. They had committed the act while being posted with Sahakar Nagar police station between 2004-07.

The arrested accused have been identified as retired assistant 
sub-inspectors Manohar Gangaram Netekar (60) of Dhayari and Jaywant Amrut Patil (59) of Karve Nagar. On Wednesday, they were remanded in police custody till February 4. Alka Gajanan Ingale (52) of Vishrantwadi is wanted in the case. 

According to the FIR, they were tasked with looking after the custody of the seized material at the police station.
