Congolese national arrested for duping a man of Rs. 2.7 lakh

The accused was arrested from Bengaluru on Thursday

Pune: A Congolese national was arrested by Cyber Crime Cell of Pune police for duping a Pune-based man of Rs 2,77,400 on the pretext of selling him a car through e-commerce website OLX.

The accused was arrested from Bengaluru on Thursday.  

The accused person was identified as Nyanguile Kishi, a Congolese national who was presently residing at Bengaluru. The police have recovered seven cellphones, one pen drive, one hard disc and Rs 9,500 cash. 

The accused duped a Pune-based man who came in contact with the accused while he was searching to buy a car on OLX. The complainant came across an advertisement regarding a Maruti Ertiga car and then contacted the accused whose number was given in the advertisement. The fraud was discovered by the complainant when the accused stopped taking his calls after money got transferred.
