Commerce stream receives maximum no. of applications

Pune: On the last day of applying for admissions for Std XI (FYJC), a total of 75,939 students have completed the application forms under the online Centralised Admission Process (CAP). 

Like last year, even this time the Commerce stream has received the maximum number of applicants, while the MCVC stream has the lowest. The applications received for the Arts stream were 50 per cent of the total capacity of the stream. 

Pune: On the last day of applying for admissions for Std XI (FYJC), a total of 75,939 students have completed the application forms under the online Centralised Admission Process (CAP). 

Like last year, even this time the Commerce stream has received the maximum number of applicants, while the MCVC stream has the lowest. The applications received for the Arts stream were 50 per cent of the total capacity of the stream. 

No extension was given for the deadline to apply for the courses under Arts, Science, Commerce and MCVC streams. Meanwhile, the admission procedure for the admissions to Bifocal is on, and 1,243 students out of the 2,408 who were allotted colleges have taken admissions after the first round of admissions. The second merit list for Bifocal is scheduled to be released on June 28 at 11 am, and the admissions will be held on June 28 and 29 from 11 am to 5 pm. 

The first merit list for the students taking admissions in the Arts, Science, Commerce and MCVC streams in the regular rounds of admissions will be released on July 5. 

A total of 40,863 boys and 35,076 girls have applied for a total of 96,320 seats at 285 colleges in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad.
