PUNE: A 19-year-old college student was robbed of his cell phone and wallet by three motorcycle-borne men on Tuesday night in Dehu Road area.
The complainant, Kunal Malwade, who is a first year engineering student in Pimpri-Chinchwad College of Engineering & Research was also assaulted by the trio who snatched away his valuables amounting to Rs 8,000.
According to the Dehu Road police, the incident occurred at 10 pm when the complainant came out of the campus for a stroll after dinner. He was confronted by three men who came there on a motorcycle. They threatened to beat him up and demanded his wallet and cell phone. When he resisted, they assaulted him and snatched away his valuables.
