Cold breeze leads to fall in day temp

The IMD has predicted that the day temperature in Pune shall remain between 28 degrees Celsius and 29 degrees Celsius till January 30. Whereas during the same time, night temperature may reach as low as 10 degrees Celsius with clear skies.

Pune: With colder breeze engulfing Pune city, there has been a drop in day temperature. According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), day temperature on Thursday was reported to be 30.3 degrees Celsius and the night temperature was 11.9 degrees Celsius in Pune. The sky was cloudy during the evening on Thursday. 

The IMD has predicted that the day temperature in Pune shall remain between 28 degrees Celsius and 29 degrees Celsius till January 30. Whereas during the same time, night temperature may reach as low as 10 degrees Celsius with clear skies.

IMD has also issued a warning of cold wave like situation in northern parts of central Maharashtra between January 26 and 28.
  
National scenario
The lowest minimum temperature recorded on Thursday in the plains was 3.8 degree Celsius at Amritsar in Punjab. Also, dense to very dense fog was observed at isolated places over west Uttar Pradesh and West Rajasthan on Thursday. Moderate to dense fog at isolated places over Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, east Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Delhi and Madhya Pradesh at wee hours on Thursday.

IMD has predicted that till January 28, the cold wave conditions in some parts with severe cold wave conditions at isolated places likely over Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Punjab, West Rajasthan and northeast Rajasthan will prevail.

Cold wave conditions at isolated places likely over west Uttar Pradesh, lower reaches of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu division, Gujarat state and north madhya Maharashtra during the same time. Ground frost conditions at isolated places likely over Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Punjab and north Rajasthan till January 28.
