Coinex Pune 2017 to begin from Dec 15

PUNE: The International Collectors Society of Rare Items has organised ‘Coinex Pune 2017’, a national exhibition on December 15, 16 and 17 at Sonal Hall, Karve Road. The coins on display will include ones minted by the Mughal Empire, Tipu Sultan and Shivaji Maharaj and some of them date back to 500 BC.

Collectors from different cities including Kolkatta, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Rajkot, Baroda, Bengaluru, Chennai, etc, will exhibit their collection. Post Master General of Pune Ganesh Savaleshwarkar will inaugurate a special cover of the Indus Valley Civilization designed by the Collectors Society on December 15. Along with it, a special stall of the Postal Department will also be put up at the venue where people can see and buy various stamps and covers. Rajendra Shah, Vice-President of the society, said, “We have given a platform for the post office department to showcase their stamps and covers. There will be 1,200 items for auction.”
