CoEP holds 90th Regatta on banks of Mula-Mutha river

Pune: The awe sticking punt formation, the fine art of kayaking, the rowing of the boats for shell games, telematches and the most awaiting and fascinating event the Mashal dance enthralled the audience on Sunday evening during the 90th Regatta held on the banks of Mula-Mutha and presented by College of Engineering, Pune (CoEP). 

“The theme this year was ‘Tryst with Peace’. This year an additional sailing event was performed by the dedicated team of college students. 

Pune: The awe sticking punt formation, the fine art of kayaking, the rowing of the boats for shell games, telematches and the most awaiting and fascinating event the Mashal dance enthralled the audience on Sunday evening during the 90th Regatta held on the banks of Mula-Mutha and presented by College of Engineering, Pune (CoEP). 

“The theme this year was ‘Tryst with Peace’. This year an additional sailing event was performed by the dedicated team of college students. 

The sailing event was sponsored by Royal Connaught Boat Club which is celebrating its 150th foundation year,” said 
Avni Kulkarni, college student and one of the organising members of Regatta team. 

“This year ‘Jiveet Nadi’ will be supporting the event. It is an organisation which has people from diverse fields,” Avni said. She added, “This year we also have got patronage from the Rowing Federation of India which organises the rowing competition on the national and international level.” 
Director of Technical Education Abhay Waugh was chief guest for the function. 

A unique event which exhibits different types of heritage boats along with the only 8-seater rowing boat in India which has been with the college boat club for last past 84 years.

The theme ‘Tryst With Peace’,  exemplifies international friendliness, collaboration and economic prosperity resulting in freedom hence, abolishing violence.
