Pimpri: Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has taken cognisance of a letter sent by MP Shivajirao Adhalrao Patil in which Patil had demanded an enquiry into alleged corruption worth Rs 90 crore while awarding tenders for road development and issuance of TDR by the PCMC.

Patil said he has received a copy of a letter from the CM, which asks the principal secretary to look into the allegations. However, sources from the BJP claimed that no enquiry orders have been issued and the letter was just forward as a matter of routine.

Patil said, “I approached the CM with the complaint of corruption worth

Rs 90 crore while awarding tenders of Rs 425 crore for roads development in merged villages. Besides this, we suspect that there is large scale corruption in awarding TDR of around 41.27 lakh square feet. The cost of these TDRs is around Rs 5,300 crore. So, an enquiry should be carried out against BJP members as well as officials from administration.”
