Pune: Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had flown to the city on Friday evening to visit the Manache Ganpati and Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Mandal, on the first day of Ganeshotsav.
While speaking at Tambdi Jogeshwari Ganesh Pandal, Fadnavis applauded Sakal Media Group for their initiative ‘Tandurust Bandobast’, where policemen on duty are given ‘chikki’ as refreshment.
“Sakal is doing a great job for the policemen who have to work 25 to 30 hours continuously. This shows that we consider the police to be part of our family. I hope Sakal continues with such social initiatives,” Fadnavis said.
Fadnavis also inaugurated the replica of the Brahmanaspati temple displayed by Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Trust this year to mark the 125th year of Ganeshotsav in the city.

Let us all take a pledge to contribute towards making our Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream of creating a New India (Nava Bharat) true.”
