Pimpri: As the allegations regarding corruption of Rs 90 crore in awarding road development work are making the rounds in Pimpri Chinchwad, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has ordered PCMC Commissioner Shravan Hardikar to submit a detailed factual report regarding the said contract to Chief Minister's Office (CMO).

These orders were issued after BJP Rajya Sabha MP Amar Sable sent a letter to the CM.

On December 13, PCMC Standing Committee approved several road development contracts worth Rs 425 crore. Opposition parties including Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and Shiv Sena have attacked the ruling BJP for alleged corruption of Rs 90 crore. Surprisingly, MP Amar Sable joined the opposition chorus and wrote a letter to the chief minister.

Following this, Standing Committee Chairperson Seema Savale and BJP City Unit General Secretory Sarang Kamtekar approached City Unit Chief Laxman Jagtap and claimed there was no corruption.

It may be recalled that this is for the first time the BJP gained power in PCMC. From the beginning, there have been multiple power centres in the party. Now, the bickering in the party has come to the fore.

After the chief minister's order to the municipal commissioner, Savale offered her resignation to City Unit Chief Laxman Jagtap.
